Clarke Hand sewn over papers and machine quilted. Design adapted from "Patchwork of the Crosses" stitched by Lucy Boston of Hemingford Grey in the late 1950s. My linking with CRM is attempting a "woven corner". At his Glasgow house some years ago I was intrigued by his incorporating squares and spaces amongst much loved roses, particularly admired were cross-members of wood going diagonally to strengthen the legs under a table. These came across, divided centrally, then interwove with the other diagonal to give a central "Rubic's Cube" effect.
