Fantasy Jungle
This hanging was made by Liz Wilson, Jackie Ryrie and Ann Ross. The material suggested a luxurious jungle and the challenge fabric has become fantasic flowers and a flash of tail on a paradise bird. Like all good ideas it must have been a driving force and this was provided by Liz who chose the fabrics and designed the basic concept. She meticulously cut out all the leaves in the jungle. Jackie is a specialsit in machine embroidery and she digitised the bird and fabulous insects. She also painted the fabrics where required. Ann likes fabric architecture and is responsible for the smocked waterfall and quilted rock faces. The most amazing thing is that we managed iit since Liz lives in Doncaster and Ann and Jackie live in Caithness in Scotland.
