Prayer Mat

I have used a percentage of recycled fabrics, random foundation piecing, quilt as you go and stitch in the ditch. Taking inspiration from the triangles and stripes of the fabrics. I let serendipity decide the final design - strong colours contained in a strong framework. It recalls the abstract richness of Islamic art hence the title.
