Inspired by a visit to the Gardiner Ceramic Museum where there is a beautiful collection of porcelain figurines from the Commedia dell'Arte. The diamond pattern in Harlequin's costume is echoed in the quilt fabric. The two figures are appliqued onto a quilted background.
