Forest Flames

The boldness of the colours in the challenge fabrics inspired me to experiment with a technique which is new to me - Ricky Timms "Curved Convergence". For this I added some of my own dyed fabric (yellow/green) and the others were already in my stash. When the centre section had been "converged", all I could see were flames against a bright light reminding me of forest fires in Australia. Using Solvy I made charred skeletonised leaves fluttering from the fire. Some have Solvy still undissolved to add effect and flexibility. The quilting shows flames and billowing smoke and the blank grey corners are the charred blackness following the fire.
