Tropical Windmills

So called because the wonderful colours of the challenge fabrics inspired me to create something that would be striking and contrast with possibly an inky blue night sky. I have a fascination for tessellations, the way shapes and colours interact and so Tropical Windmills evolved. I used an EQ5 grid, the challenge fabrics, and some beautiful extras to compliment these, machine piecing and hand quilting. The quiltette was completed with a strip pieced bias cut binding using all the windmill fabrics which gives a bright and defining finish. I really enjoyed making this quiltette and hope you like it too!
