Butterfly Vista
I used paper piecing for the distant landscape and the steps up to the vista, and strip piecing for the flower borders. Machine appliqué was used for the circular window and hand appliqué for the foliage. I have embellished some areas with Maikal paints and a few beads, and have also added a layer of voile around the window. My inspiration was the main fabric, which I couldn’t bear to cut up! also a visit to Alnwick Garden added to the inspiration.
