Butterfly Garden
I started this quiltette by looking for block that reminded me of butterflies. I used the fan idea to create the large butterfly’s wings and the winding flowerbeds in the garden. The light rectangular pieces represent the paving between the flowerbeds. I have used the techniques of foundation piecing and appliqué. I have used hand quilting and embroidery stitches to complete the design
