Coco Beach?

The challenge fabric said “tropical shore, warm turquoise sea, soft breezes in the palms and golden sand” The real Coco Beach came to mind (in Dar es Salaam) but could it be quilted? Storm at Sea blocks make the lower foreground and extend to form borders. Fishy faces and quilted marine life are in there. Shiny silk makes the beach and voile over cotton makes the sea shimmer and move as the light catches it. A ¼ mariner’s compass becomes a hot sun, whilst ting glass beads add sparkle to the bubbles, fish eyes and sun. Stash fabrics provide other elements. The binding picks up the tiny amounts of cerise in the fish fabric and a serendipitous find at Dunelm Mill provides the backing. All great fun!
