Constellation of Pisces
Inspired by my husband who is a fish eating, star gazing Pisces! Foundation piecing, hand piecing, beads, embroidery and appliqué. Hand pieced and quilted. I felt that I didn’t do the fabric justice but was actually pleased with its naïve look, as that’s my husband all over! I tried to manipulate the border to resemble a mackerel sky and the patterns the tide leaves on the sand. Included are some positive Piscean traits as the quilt was big enough for his negative ones!
