Kaleidoscope Fish
The inspiration for this quiltette came from the Kaleidoscope fabric with the fantastic fish. I used the kaleidoscope blocks to make fish bodies with pleated fans for the tails. The blocks were pieced onto the background fabric. Freestyle bias strips were curved around the border and the quiltette was bound with bias around the curved edge. Machine quilting was used to “draw” seaweed in the background and the blocks were hand quilted.
