Wavy quilting on a patchwork table runner

Ombre Squares Table Runner

I thought I'd combine showcasing what other V&Co ombres look like in my Ombre Squares pattern along with making a smaller version of the quilt; and this table runner is the result.

I've used five different colours in the blocks of the runner, although I think using six would have added a bit more variety. I've added a sixth colour, the off white, in the binding.

The method for making the blocks is the same. Five large blocks are made and ten small blocks. These are then joined into a row to make the runner.

I've quilted the runner in random wavy diagonal lines. I debated quilting parallel lines across the width of the runner but knew I'd need a bit of accuracy if so; the wavy diagonal lines are a bit more forgiving, and quicker of course! I used King Tut colour 936 Pharoah's Treasures to quilt the runner.

The binding was made by cutting strips from the leftovers.

You can buy a fat quarter bundle to make the runner here. Don't forget you'll need a copy of the pattern too, if you haven't already bought one.

Next up...I'm thinking a Sky Ombres version!
