I planned the pattern using full-size paper patterns. I hand pieced the “petals” in Portugal in February. I dyed the front and back fabrics and appliquéd the petals onto the front. I made bias binding and outlined the petals. I added butterflies to the front and back panels and outline stitched them. Machine quilted.
